Cristina Buccino, one of the stars on the television show 'Island of the Famous' left television viewers and people throughout the Internet stunned when she revealed pictures of her beautiful face looking as if it had been 'ravaged' by mosquitos (Blitz - March 10).
Her appearance caught many people off guard as she is known throughout Italy for her fantastic physique and gorgeous, flawless face. However, while her facial appearance is temporarily marred by mosquito bites (or acne depending on whom one believes) the confidence she has shown in letting herself be photographed despite not showing her usual head-turning beautiful face has impressed some television and film producers.
There are some female entertainment personalities define themselves solely by their physical appearance and if they do not see themselves looking absolutely perfect become almost incapable of working. This beautiful entertainment personality did not let her facial appearance force her from the competition and by her showing the resolve and intestinal fortitude to continue has resulted in her becoming a topic of conversation among some casting agents, producers and directors as a potential actress following her time on 'Island of the Famous'.
Before her appearance on 'Island of the Famous' it is unlikely that anyone thought of her as an entertainment personality/potential actress who had the 'toughness' to be part of an action-adventure or gritty crime-drama project but her time on the show has shown her as much more than just an incredibly beautiful model/television host.
