Ellen Adarna is known in the Philippines for being talented, beautiful and at times, shocking and she proved to be very much the latter during a recent interview on the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Inquirer.net - March 4)
She temporarily put a smile on the faces of many single Filipino men when she revealed that she is single and has been since September 2014 after breaking up with her businessman boyfriend. The news was surprising was not comparable to her other news.
The gorgeous model/actress revealed that not only is she single and happy to beunattached but she also wants in three years time to have a baby but does not have any desire to get married for another nine years!
Her focus is on her career and hopefully having a child but having a committed relationship or getting married is not a priority and this could be one of those revelations that potentially damages her relations with some of her male and female fans.
Some of her fans look at her as a strong, independent attractive woman but for some of her male fans the desire to have a child but not want the man as part of the package is something that is not being received well and could result in a lessening of her appeal.
She is literally a guaranteed 'headline generator' the moment she sits down for an interview but the headline of wanting to be a single mother is some entertainment insiders believe will more likely hurt her image not help it because for many men she is the fantasy woman but part of the dream is her being a part of their life and not merely being a 'sperm donor'.
Sometimes its best not to disclose all the 'personal' desires in an interview because as an entertainer when you take away a fantasy by trying to be provocative it can sometimes hurt their 'connection' with an important fan base such as their male admirers which is something that the Ellen Adarna might have done in saying that she wants a child but not marriage in three years.
