After the US, Russia accused Want to Disrupt Germany

German intelligence agency called the Russian attempt to destabilize the situation in the country ahead of general elections. Russia did it through propaganda and cyber attacks.

"There is growing evidence of efforts to influence federal elections next year," said the German intelligence chief Hans-Georg Maassen, citing "increasingly aggressive cyber espionage" against political entity in Germany.

Maassen expressed concern over the increasing use of social media by the owner of the voice that makes them more vulnerable to disinformation. "We are concerned that the room propaganda is being made there," he said, adding that the establishment of opinion with the bot automatically can be used to spread false news as quoted by the Belfast Telegraph, Thursday (08/12/2016).

Maassen also said that German politicians have menajdi target of hacker attacks recently. He said it could be an attempt to gather information that could be used to discredit them.

"We expect a further increase in handling cyber attacks for the long term in the interests of the election," he said.

Germany has not set a date for national elections in 2017, but is expected to be in September.

Russia has blamed for hacking and email leak belonging Democratic National Committee ahead of the presidential elections the United States (US). But Moscow has strongly denied involved in orchestrating cyber attacks in a foreign country and responded with its own accusations against the West.
