When it comes to the big soaps in the UK, it tends to be the likes of Eastenders,Coronation Street, and Emmerdale that get talked about most but it is fair to say that Hollyoaks has the more talented stars in their show. We have seen a number of stars from UK soaps heading over to the US to make a name for themselves but it seems that the former Hollyoaks stars are leading the way.
Actress Roxanne McKee played the role of Louis Summers between 2005 and 2008, before then deciding to move on to new challenges in her career. Since then, we have seen Roxanne in the role of Doreah in the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, as well as playing Claire Riesen in Dominion, while she has also appeared on the big screen in the movie The Legend of Hercules.
Another former Hollyoaks actress to find success in Hollywood is the beautiful and talented star Nathalie Emmanuel, who played the role of Sasha Valentine between 2007 and 2010. Just like Roxanne McKee, Nathalie landed a role inGame of Thrones, playing the character Missandei, while she is also set to appear in the movie Furious 7, as well as the film Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.
Finally we have a former Hollyoaks actor, who actually played the brother toNathalie Emmanuel's character. Ricky Whittle played the role of Calvin Valentine between 2006 and 2011. Since heading to the US, Ricky has landed roles in Single Ladies, NCIS, and Mistresses, while he continues in his role asLincoln in the hit The CW series The 100.
There have been plenty more former Hollyoaks stars heading to Hollywood over the years but these three have to be out favourites who have made it.
