Companies from 20 countries are involved in the supply chain components of the bombs used group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Study found Conflict Armament Research (CAR) that tracks the flow of chemicals and other bomb-making equipment which eventually fell into the hands of ISIS.
CAR on Thursday (25.02.2016) suggested that the government and bomb-making components company to act more in keeping track of the flow of their products.
Research by the mandate of the European Union it shows there are 51 companies from a number of countries whose products are used ISIS. The companies are among others from Turkey, Brazil, and the United States.
The companies that produce and sell more than 700 components, which in turn is used by ISIS to make homemade bombs or IEDs.
According to the study, IEDs are now being produced on a "quasi-industrial scale" by militants. The study took 20 months.
A total of 13 Turkish companies found to be involved in the supply chain of the bomb-making materials. Followed later by India with seven companies.
"These findings support the growing international awareness that ISIS forces in Iraq and Syria many independent in acquiring weapons and strategic goods, such as local IED components with ease," said James Bevan, Executive Director of the CAR, as quoted by Reuters.
